Cardiff Dr Who Museum

Sadly, this Dr Who Museum has now closed.  There are plans to open a much larger Dr Who experience in Cardiff in 2012. Watch this space! In the meantime, this page is a reminder of what you may have missed.

The BBC TV Series is filmed in Cardiff, and the museum contained props and costumes from the show.  It wasn’t a large museum, but there was quite a lot to see inside.  We spent ages taking pictures of each other in front of one of the Daleks!  This is an extract from our free Cardiff City Guide.

A Dalek at the Cardiff Dr Who Exhibition

The museum was completely refurbished in 2008 and new props were being added regularly.  We liked the Sontaran, and seeing costumes worn by actor David Tennant,  and catch up with the Tardis or a Dalek.  The museum was based at the Red Dragon shopping centre, next to the Wales Millennium Centre.  If you still want to visit the Red Dragon centre or Cardiff Bay, one option to get here from the the city centre is to use the Hop-on Hop-off Bus Tour.
