Sea Life Blackpool

Blackpool’s Sea Life centre sits in a prime position on the promenade and it’s well worth a visit on any trip, but especially if the Lancashire weather is poor.  Inside you’ll find a range of aquariums teeming with sea life. Some of them are absolutely huge and the walkthrough section is particularly memorable.

Our top tip would be to take your time. It’s easy when the centre is busy to get moved along with the crowd, but you’ll get much more out of your visit if you pause, read the information signs and have a good long look on each window.

Our 6 year old particularly loved the centre and there’s even a bit just for kids where they can go under one aquarium and pop their head up into a glass viewing bowl.

As always with Sea Life centres, the sharks and stingrays are the biggest draw and it’s amazing to be so close the them.

Blackpool Sea Life centre is open daily from 10am, closing at either or 4 or 5pm depending on the day/season. An earlier admission time of 9.30am is usually available in peak season. Adult admission is £18.50 (2023 prices) when purchased in advance, but you can save money by combining your ticket with other attractions in Blackpool: Blackpool Big 6 Ticket
