  1. We will be arriving soon for our first visit to Las Vegas. Can you send some info on low cost hotels, attractions, maps of downtown and the strip. We also need info on the DASH, and monorail. Thanks, Trinidad McGee, San Diego

  2. Hi. We’d recommend Rome as so much of it has been used in movies over the years. Top of the list would be the locations used in Angels and Demons with Tom Hanks. See: Angels and Demons Filming Locations. Other options are Prague where Charles Bridge and many other locations were used in Mission Impossible with Tom Cruise or the city of Bruges where most city center locations were used in the movie “In Bruges” with Colin Farrell.

  3. Hi. We’re from the US and we like to visit places we’ve seen in movies. We’re planning to do Europe next year, so cCan you recommend some locations from movies we will have seen?

  4. We only recommend hotels we have actually stayed in, but fortunately the one we had in Florence was absolutely superb and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to anyone. It’s called Hotel L’Orologio and we’ve written a dedicated page to it here…

  6. Hi Wendy. Buckingham Palace has published the dates for opening in 2012 from July 31st to 30th September, so it doesn’t look like they’ll be opening early for the Olympics. If you want to read more, our Buckingham Palace page has a link to the Palace page that deals with opening times.
